ENVIRONMENTAL FESTIVAL FOR THE PUBLIC
The environmental festival "SAUgoma ir TAU" has come to an end... Residents and visitors to the capital gathered at the National Protected Areas Visitor Center to learn about our country's national and regional parks, participate in green nature school education programs, and taste organic products from protected areas.
Five national and 30 regional parks presented themselves to the public at the festival. In the tents, visitors could learn about the values protected in national parks, why it is important to preserve them for future generations, and find out which nature trails are worth visiting in autumn, which species are rare and protected, and which are invasive.
There was no shortage of nature conservation activities at the SAUgoma ir TAU festival. Visitors could listen to lectures on the uniqueness of the Čepkeliai State Nature Reserve, our country's UNESCO values in protected areas, take part in a free tour of the National Visitor Center, and listen to meaningful discussions about the impact of climate change on biodiversity and the landscape.
