On the initiative of the State Service for Protected Areas, a new nature school opened its doors in the Curonian Spit National Park in Nida. This is already the ninth nature school in the protected areas. The goal of every nature school is to educate the public about the importance of protected areas, landscapes, and biodiversity - what and how it should be protected.

The Nature School of the Curonian Spit National Park will become a space for informal conservation education, intended for groups of schoolchildren, youth, students and adults who would like to include "green" education in their activities: watching birds, getting to know plants, listening to the sounds of the night, meeting animals, getting to know the landscape while traveling, feeling the presence of nature and most importantly understanding why it is necessary to preserve all this.

The main activities of the new nature school are: non-formal education, nature education, cognitive and educational activities. The visiting groups will be offered thematic nature excursions, education, hikes, nature lessons, students will be accepted during green practices, various conservation camps. Specialists at the nature school will organize nature training, day camps, seminars, talks and environmental education events.
