EXCLUSIVE VALUE OF THE REGIONAL PARK

A regional park of exclusive beauty and value – the hilly landscape of the high Sūduva hill massif with the Vištytis Lake and smaller lakelets that can be seen from the tops of the hills. The Kylininkai morainic massif characterised by an uncommon relief fragmentation. Abundance of boulders, the largest being the Vištytis Stone. The values of the wild nature are hidden by the plangent forests. The unique Grybingiris forest – a hard to pass through and untouched by human oak-hornbeam forest habitats. Invaluable technical monuments – Vištytis oil mill and Vištytis windmill. It also features plenty of power sites and sa cred paths that our ancestors used 7,000 years ago.
