EXCLUSIVE VALUE OF THE REGIONAL PARK

Elements of the unique landscape: intersections of tunnel valleys, hill rims, surrounding lakes, wetlands and forests. The most important accent of the regional park is the intensely branched lake with the longest shoreline. The protected and probably the largest in Lithuania plant populations of Dactylorhiza cruenta, Dactylorhiza traunsteineri, Dactylorhiza ochroleuca, Saxifraga hirculus. In this park, the rare fungus Gy romitra sphaerospora was first found in Lithuania. A small cosy wooden Bobriškis orthodox church is a part of church heritage. Winter horse racing has been counting the second century.
