EXCLUSIVE VALUE OF THE REGIONAL PARK
The essence of Asveja Regional Park lays in the expressive landscape of lake-rich deep valleys with the most exclusive being Asveja deep valley. The longest lake in Lithuania surrounded by high forested slopes which are especially impressive at Dubingiai and Liudgardas. Dubingiai castle site forms an integral part of this landscape. This castle site with the substructures of Radiziwiłł family church and palace is one of the most important sites for Lithuanian stateho od. Wooden tavern of Dubingiai serves as another unique accent to the cultural heritage. Asveja and Baluošas Lakes serve as home to the relict of glacial period – the fish Os merus eperlanus mordax relicta.
