EXCLUSIVE VALUE OF THE REGIONAL PARK

The greatest value of the monotonous landscape of the middle lowland of the Lithuania – Nevėžis old valley with series of oxbow lakes. Here started the resurgence of the European bison. The region is abundant with manor sites. The small Ustronė manor is of special important for the history of Lithu anian book smugglers. Krekenava area is famous because of the famous 19th-20th c. Lithuanian folk artist Vincas Svirskis and his legacy – crosses and road shrines of original and unique artistic shape.
