EUROPARC 2025 CONFERENCE TO BE HELD IN LITHUANIA
EUROPARC is an international event for Europe's nature conservation professionals, bringing together each year the European protected areas community to meet and share experiences. We are happy to announce that next year's EUROPARC conference will take place in Lithuania!
The international conference will take place on 6-10 October 2025 in one of Lithuania's unique protected areas - Nemunas Kilpu Regional Park in Birštonas. The EUROPARC conference is a great opportunity for the international community to get to know our country and its sustainable tourism and nature conservation solutions.
The theme of the 2025 EUROPARC conference will be dedicated to the 50th anniversary of the Ramsar Convention, with a special focus on nature restoration in Europe, which is enshrined in the EU's Nature Restoration Act. The theme of the conference is therefore "Nature for People, People for Nature" to highlight the interconnection between nature and people. Nature is vital for human well-being and health, and it reminds us of our responsibility to protect Nature for future generations.
Lithuania has been a member of the EUROPARC Federation since 1996. Specialists from protected area directorates actively participate in international projects to protect and enhance their natural and cultural heritage and share best practices.
The conference programme will be announced in March 2025.
